I know It has been years since this movie came out but it recently was released on Netflix So I thought It was worth the watch. This movie seriously made me feel the nostalgia that has been missing in my life and I did not think a movie could do that. It made me emotional thinking about how friends are so important to have because life is about adventure. This movie is about Charlie who is a socially awkward teen with unsettled past trauma. He then meets two free-spirited seniors Sam and Patrick who take Charlie under their wings and shows him how to live. This film is a must-watch if you are the type of person that is into coming of age movies because the feeling of friendship is important in the movie and it honestly makes the viewer feel that way as well. It made me very emotional watching it because it made me dream of the high school experience that I wanted but never had. T his movie is definitely in my top 10 list and it is worth the watch!

Throughout this last module, I really started to see a change in how I see media. I never realized how addicting it could be I always thought that there was no harm staying up until 6 am on social media. it is just crazy to me to think about how I and many other people waste their time on social media instead of being productive. I have also noticed how social media can change people and can really damage someone's self-esteem. Growing up we have all seen thousands of advertisements that targeted us specifically and usually made us want to buy what they are selling. And we also were extremely upset and even was on the urge of throwing a tantrum when we did not get what we wanted. This is what these ads want they want little kids to get interested in this "amazing new product for only $19.99!" But In reality, it is just a bunch of scams urging kids to waste their parent's money and the corporates make profits because of this. Huge corporations like McDonald's constantly make commercials of their happy meals and the all carry toys inside that kids can not resist. This causes children to buy tons of happy meals because they want to collect every single toy available and this could cause obesity at a very young age. I have been on social media since I was about twelve years old and I have heard about hashtags for a long time and also used them countless times. Hashtags are a way for people to see your posts depending on the audience you are trying to reach. Let's say that you are a photographer wanting others to see your work and to gain more business. You would want to use hashtags with different photography mottos or words that are extremely popular on Instagram and there are websites that search for those hashtags for you. Having popular hashtags under your posts means you will gain more attraction to your posts because Instagram has a feature that lets you follow or browse different hashtags so you are sharing your posts to a different kind of community. I was a bit skeptical at first when being assigned to watch this movie because really long movies about politics are not what I enjoy watching. But after finishing the movie I actually quite enjoyed it and what Moore wanted us to see about the cruel system of capitalism. He showed the audience what this system was doing to United States citizens by using pathos to connect the audience emotionally and to persuade their opinions on capitalism and it worked for me in my opinion. I knew what capitalism was, but I did not know how bad it was for our economy seeing how many workers lost their jobs for corporate greed really saddens me because how could anyone be that cruel to people. The style of the movie was really effective because he made it serious yet has thrown in-jokes that the audience can laugh at but still understanding the movie's purpose. In this film the director, Michael Moore is showing us what capitalism is and what it is doing to American citizens all around the nation. In this movie we see families being kicked out of their homes, corporates gaining money off of worker's deaths all because of the government system that is capitalism. The intended audience for this film the American citizens but also corporate people that may be engaging in the messed up things we are seeing in this film. We know that these are the intended audience because in one scene a woman who just got her home taken away for corporate value tells the audience " How could they do this to someone" insinuating that someone must be pure evil to do this to anyone. For this article the audience Doug Ducey is trying to speak directly to is both parents and students. He is trying to inform the audience of how important it is to go to college after high school and to graduate with a degree. He mentions how education can bring many opportunities as well as economic benefits to college graduates. I agree with him, and I do believe that education is important to be successful in your life you are able to learn things that will be helpful for you in the future. For the past month we all have been affected by the COVID- 19 virus and it has been keeping all inside. And must I say it was nicer when we had to go to school because I just realized how it kept me organized. One thing that drives me insane through this quarantine is the constant boredom. I wake up in pajamas and go to bed in pajamas, and my day is spent on my phone. But for the past week, I have been doing some things that have increased my productivity and also got me out of my everyday boredom. Growing up I was never into blogs I had zero interest in reading them. But after taking English 101 I've come to realize that Blogs are good resources for help no matter what you are looking for. Eat Yourself Skinny was a blog I read and researched over the weekend and it opened my eyes to how I should be eating and taking care of my body; which in the long run could be beneficial in the future. One blog that I've really enjoyed reading about was Zoe Sugg's blog. I would classify her blog as warm and inviting, but also deep and meaningful.
